John Van Hooser

General Partner

Prior to joining M/C, Mr. Van Hooser co-founded Telegraph Hill Communications Partners, a private equity firm focused on the media, communications services and information technology industries. From 1994 to 2003 he originated and managed communications and media related private equity investments for J.P. Morgan Capital. During this time, he actively participated in the formation of six companies and served as a director or active observer on 10 Boards of Directors including Affinity Internet, Columbia River Cellular, FrontierVison, Lightship Communications, and Utilicom Networks. Prior to business school, Mr. Van Hooser held positions as a Senior Financial Analyst in studio strategic planning at The Walt Disney Corporation and as an Associate Consultant at Bain & Company.

He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Legendary Pictures and Corelink Data Centers. Mr. Van Hooser was previously on the Board of Directors of Fusepoint.

Mr. Van Hooser received a BA in History, magna cum laude, from Dartmouth College, and an MBA from the Harvard Business School.
